GEW-2024: EDI Wukro Celebrates Global Entrepreneurship Week 2024
The Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) Wukro team recently celebrated Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2024 with a special event held at Geez Restaurant. The theme for this year's GEW, "Entrepreneurship is for Everyone," resonated deeply with the team, inspiring them to share their entrepreneurial journeys and celebrate the impact of EDI's programs.
The event featured a variety of activities, including a presentation on GEW and its significance, as well as inspiring testimonials from team members. Each member shared their unique experiences, highlighting how EDI's training and support have enabled them to start and grow their own businesses.
One such success story is Genet, who, with the help of EDI, opened an agricultural inputs and pesticides store and started a vegetable farm. Another is Meaza, who, along with her husband, launched a successful tutoring service for primary school students. Gebremedhin, another EDI participant, improved his agricultural inputs store's management and customer base through the knowledge and skills gained from EDI's programs.
EDI Wukro's celebration of GEW 2024 underscores the organization's commitment to empowering individuals and fostering a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in the region. By providing training, mentorship, and networking opportunities, EDI continues to inspire and support aspiring entrepreneurs, proving that entrepreneurship truly is for everyone.
