GEW-2024 Kicks Off with Empowering Tigrayan Entrepreneurs
Global Entrepreneurship Week #GEW2024Ethiopia has officially commenced in Tigray with a significant milestone: the certification of 38 Empretec trainers. These newly certified individuals are the first of their kind in the region, poised to empower aspiring entrepreneurs and drive economic growth. The certification ceremony was graced by Ato Alem, Vice Bureau Head of TVT and Job Creation, who lauded EDI's efforts in capacity building. He emphasized that EDI's initiatives align seamlessly with the bureau's goals and the region's development aspirations.
In a bold move, the Regional Office has announced plans to reach approximately 5,200 youth throughout November through a series of training programs that will be accompanied by business development services, market linkage initiatives, and access to finance Activities. The newly certified Empretec trainers expressed their commitment to leveraging their skills to uplift the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
