GEW-2024: Networking with Women Only Saving and Credit Cooperative Society
In pursuit of empowering women and in turning the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2024 theme ‘’Entrepreneurship is for everyone.’ into reality, Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) Tigray Regional Coordination Office has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to Work with Nigste Saba Saving and Credit Cooperative (SACCO) Society which is a primary financial cooperative working on empowering its women only members. Nigste Saba SACCO Society limited liability is operating in Mekelle City and enters into a commitment to provide access to loans for its women members while EDI on its part pledged to provide capacity building services through providing demand-based trainings on a cost-sharing arrangements. The MOU was signed on the 23rd of November 2024 which will also be effective starting from this day.
