#GEW2024Ethiopia Empowering Tigray's Youth Through Entrepreneurship Training

The Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) -Tigray Regional Coordination Office recently empowered 177 young individuals with essential business skills through an Entrepreneurship and Business Management Skills (EBMS) training program. Held at Wukro Agricultural Polytechnic College from November 8th to 11th, 2024, the training aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and tools needed to start and grow successful businesses.

The intensive training covered a range of topics, including goal setting, planning, opportunity identification, market analysis, business model development, and business plan creation. Participants also gained practical experience through hands-on exercises and simulations. Following the training, several participants expressed their gratitude, emphasizing how the program would help them overcome the challenges posed by the recent conflict in the region. They acknowledged the need for access to financing and business development services to translate their newfound knowledge into tangible business ventures.
