Hawassa Tegibared College recently hosted a two-day Customized Entrepreneurship Training Workshop (CETW)

Hawassa Tegibared College, one of the oldest and most reputable TVET institutions in the region, recently hosted a two-day Customized Entrepreneurship Training Workshop (CETW) from November 14–15, 2024, in collaboration with the Ethiopian Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW). The workshop engaged 84 enthusiastic participants, primarily first-year students, and aimed to introduce them to entrepreneurship fundamentals, inspiring them to view entrepreneurship as a pathway to personal growth and community impact.

Led by experienced EBMS trainers Thomas Bezabih and Tesfanesh, the sessions provided a dynamic and interactive learning experience. Participants gradually warmed up, becoming highly engaged in discussions and activities, particularly during opportunity identification exercises. Mr. Getinet Samuel, EDI’s Southern Regional Coordinator, delivered an inspiring opening message, motivating students to embrace entrepreneurship and innovation.

By the end of the workshop, participants demonstrated increased confidence, creativity, and excitement about entrepreneurship, actively contributing to exercises and discussions. This successful initiative highlighted the critical role of entrepreneurship in solving community challenges, fostering personal growth, and shaping the next generation of innovators.
