An intensive two-days workshop that brought together 65 graduating students; CETW at Hawassa

This report summarizes the Customized Entrepreneurship Training Workshop (CETW) held from November 15 to 16, 2024, at Hawassa University Wondo Genet Forestry and Natural Resources College as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week celebrations. The workshop was jointly organized by the Ethiopian Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI), Hawassa University, and the MasterCard Foundation under the Seed Project initiative, aiming to inspire participants to consider entrepreneurship as a rewarding career path.

The workshop brought together 65 graduating students (12 females and 51 males) for an intensive two-day session. Participants engaged in activities that cultivated essential entrepreneurial skills, including idea generation, opportunity identification, and entrepreneurial decision-making. The training emphasized developing a positive mindset, understanding core entrepreneurial traits, and identifying viable business opportunities in their fields.

By the end of the workshop, participants expressed enhanced confidence in their ability to apply the skills learned and showed a deeper appreciation for entrepreneurship as a tool for self-employment and economic contribution. This collaborative effort underscored the importance of fostering entrepreneurial talent among youth to drive innovation, job creation, and sustainable development.
