A panel discussion in Wolkite as part of #GEW2024Ethiopia

On November 19, 2024, as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), a panel discussion was held in Wolkite involving EDI experts, college deans, EBMS trainers, the Gurage Zone Technical and Vocational Department, and Wolkite City's Job Creation and Enterprises Office. 

The discussion addressed barriers to employment, emphasizing the need for entrepreneurship skills to connect graduates and the community with work opportunities. Key topics included addressing challenges like lack of sheds and access, enhancing income-generating training, and fostering community engagement through motivational events. Stakeholders agreed on the importance of coordinated efforts to provide practical training and support for entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihoods.
