Stakeholders engagement meeting which brought multitudes of stakeholders drawn from Urban Job Creations and Food Security Office, Youth and Sport Office, Children and Women’s’ Affairs, Trade and Industry Office, Microfinance Institutions and Office in charge of rehabilitating citizens displaced by different reasons.
The forum was aimed to address the issues related to the progress, challenges and future strategies of providing coordinated business development supports to entrepreneurs based in the town. Forty-three participants have attended the meeting that took place on November 16, 2017 at Yina Grand Hotel in Dukem.
In the same town, slightly more than 40 women entrepreneurs were given the opportunity to attend women entrepreneurship training program organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) – Ethiopia Oromia National Regional State Coordination Office. The training mainly focusses on how women should be able to run strong businesses by addressing the daunting challenges they face to be successful entrepreneurs. The competencies and behaviours of successful entrepreneurs have also been discussed. The training was provided over two days from November 16 – 17, 2017 as part of GEW celebration in the region.
