Starting from November 14-19, 2024, Hossanna hosted ETW workshop engaging 23 participants

From November 14-19, 2024, Hossanna hosted the ETW workshop, engaging 23 participants (12 males, 11 females, and 3 individuals with disabilities) in an intensive training focused on entrepreneurial success. The workshop emphasized the internal locus of control, guiding participants to take ownership of their actions and decisions as entrepreneurs. It encouraged them to envision a successful future, define actionable short-term goals, and consistently review and refine their plans by monitoring outcomes, identifying opportunities, and taking proactive steps to ensure business viability. Participants also explored the value of personal responsibility, persistence, and commitment in achieving their objectives while gaining insights into fostering independence, self-confidence, and innovation in setting and pursuing new business goals.

The closing ceremony featured speeches from prominent local leaders, including Mr. Fantahun Lirenso, Hadiya Zone Enterprise Leader, Mr. Tariku Teketel, Deputy Mayor of Hossanna Town, Mr. Delayehu Abate, Vice Dean of HPTC and Mr. Tesfaye, Head of the Hadiya Zone TVET Department. They congratulated the participants and highlighted the critical role of skill-oriented programs like ETW in fostering sustainable job creation and enhancing the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Participants reflected on how the training helped them identify their strengths and weaknesses, motivating them to pursue continuous improvement and innovation in their ventures. This year’s ETW workshop held special significance as it coincided with the celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2024.
