The third round Entrepreneurship and Business Management Skills (EBMS) training at Daye Polytechnic College

The Entrepreneurship and Business Management Skills (EBMS) training, held from November 27 to 30, 2024, at Daye Polytechnic College, aimed to empower youth and female participants to start their own businesses. Designed to inspire entrepreneurship as a self-employment option, the program focused on teaching foundational business skills such as idea generation, opportunity identification, information seeking, goal setting, and business planning. Participants were encouraged to identify viable business ideas and practice the core competencies of successful entrepreneurs.

A total of 41 graduating students from Daye Polytechnic College participated in the training, including 19 males and 22 females from various fields of study. This diverse group benefited from sessions tailored to equip them with the knowledge and tools needed to embark on entrepreneurial ventures confidently.

Organized by the Ethiopian Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) with sponsorship from the SEED project, the training was supported by Daye Polytechnic College, which facilitated the venue and logistical arrangements.

This initiative highlights the commitment to fostering entrepreneurship among youth and women, ensuring they have the skills and mindset required to contribute to sustainable economic development and create opportunities within their communities.
