A two-day Women’s Entrepreneurship Training (WET) program was successfully conducted from November 21 to 22, 2024, in Tepi Town, South West Ethiopia, engaging 40 women entrepreneurs. The training aimed to empower participants by enhancing their entrepreneurial skills and equipping them with practical tools to elevate their businesses. The sessions were well-received, leaving many attendees motivated to embrace entrepreneurial practices and behaviors in their daily operations.

The training focused on helping participants recognize and build on their strengths while addressing any weaknesses that might hinder their business success. Emphasis was placed on fostering a sense of accountability, encouraging participants to take ownership of their contributions to their businesses and think innovatively. Through structured activities, attendees explored ways to identify opportunities, cultivate persistence and commitment, and harness their negotiation skills. They also learned the importance of evaluating the sustainability and feasibility of their business ideas before implementation, enabling them to set clear, actionable goals aligned with meaningful outcomes.

By the end of the program, the participants displayed a strong determination to apply the concepts and strategies learned during the training. Their eagerness to integrate these new entrepreneurial competencies into their ventures was evident, demonstrating a shift towards proactive, solution-oriented approaches.
