The Women Entrepreneurship Training (WET) program is held in Ceiz City, Southwest Ethiopia and empowered 55 women entrepreneurs

The Women’s Entrepreneurship Training (WET) program, held from November 20–21, 2024, in Ceiz City, Southwest Ethiopia, empowered 55 women entrepreneurs by enhancing their skills and competencies. Targeting participants with at least six months of business experience and a valid trade license, the program fostered active engagement and collaboration. Over two days, participants shared experiences, explored entrepreneurial strategies, and built a supportive community while engaging in activities designed to strengthen their business acumen. Sessions led by experts, and focused on advanced strategies and personal development, inspiring participants to overcome challenges and pursue their goals with renewed determination.

The program concluded with a commitment from Ceiz City Administration to support women entrepreneurs and collaborate with EDI Ethiopia for ongoing assistance. Participants expressed gratitude for the knowledge and connections gained, emphasizing the program’s transformative impact. This initiative not only equipped women with essential tools for success but also strengthened the local entrepreneurial ecosystem, underscoring the importance of empowering women in business for broader economic growth
