Business Model Design

Learning activity designed for Master's Entrepreneurship Students to teach them the Business Model Canvas (BMC)

This  workshop is built around a real or pre-validated business idea (which can be the students' own startup concept, a case study, or a provided scenario). It moves students from initial modeling to critical testing and iteration.

Objective: Introduce the BMC's 9 building blocks and encourage critical thinking about their interdependencies.

Emphasis: Complete the right side (Value Proposition, Customer Segments, Channels, Customer Relationships, Revenue Streams) first, focusing on external market forces and value creation, before moving to the left side (Key Activities, Key Resources, Key Partnerships, Cost Structure), which covers internal infrastructure.

Output: An initial, full BMC draft for their business idea, visually represented with "hypothesis" sticky notes.
