YoungPreneur Award - From Idea to Prototype

The YoungPreneur Award, an initiative by the Center of Science and Technology (CST), aims to inspire and empower students in Grades 8 to 12 to develop innovative ideas and transform them into potential startups, fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among young people. The program attracted strong engagement, receiving 198 submissions from students across participating schools in Lebanon. Through a structured, multi-phase evaluation process involving expert jury members, the ideas were assessed based on innovation, feasibility, and potential impact. Following the initial evaluation, 27 ideas representing 18 schools were shortlisted for further development and assessment by a panel of three expert judges. As part of the program’s ongoing journey, CST is organizing “From Idea to Prototype: An Online Interactive Discussion”, a Zoom meeting bringing together the participating student teams (Top 12) and their supervisors.

The session will focus on the practical aspects of prototype development, helping students understand how to move from an initial concept to a tangible prototype. It will also provide an opportunity for teams to present their progress, discuss technical challenges and requirements, exchange experiences, and receive guidance and funds to support the development of their ideas.

Through this interactive session, CST seeks to strengthen the students’ entrepreneurial and problem-solving skills and support them in taking the next step toward turning their innovative ideas into reality.
