Finding Internships or Work Experience

Whether you are looking for internships, placements, graduate roles or part time employment, job hunting can be time consuming and stressful! This session aims to support you to navigate this ever-complex myriad of opportunities and signpost you to some top resources, programmes and schemes. In addition, you will explore creative ways to find opportunities to help you either access work, build skills or progress towards your chosen career.

By the end of the workshop, participants will:

• Explore the different work related options for students and graduates.
• Understand the benefits of gaining work experience whilst at university.
• Gain knowledge of key websites and to establish where best to look for opportunities.
• Know what the hidden jobs market is and how you can access it.
• Understand the process for both advertised roles and speculative applications
• An overview of University of Exeter schemes & programmes that may help.
