Last week, Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, Mission Specialist Christina Koch, and CSA Mission Specialist Jeremy Hansen splashed down off the coast of San Diego, completing a historic 10-day, 695,000-mile journey around the Moon and marking the first crewed lunar flyby in more than 50 years. This is a moment worth pausing on, not just because of what was achieved, but because of what it represents for everything being built around it.
At GEN Space, we have always believed that exploration and entrepreneurship are inseparable, and Artemis II is proof of that. The founders, engineers, investors, and institutions working on propulsion, in-Space manufacturing, orbital logistics, lunar infrastructure, and Earth observation form the architecture on which missions like this one depend and the foundation on which future missions will be built.
The astropreneurs we work with understand something important: exploration creates demand, demand creates markets, and markets create transformational opportunities for those who move with conviction and clarity of purpose. And this is not a story that belongs to any one country or region. The Space economy is inherently global, and its full potential will only be realized through deliberate collaboration across borders, cultures, and sectors, with stakeholders from every corner of the world bringing their capital, talent, and perspectives to the table.
The investment landscape around Space is evolving as fast as the technology itself, and the timing could not be more compelling. With SpaceX's highly anticipated IPO set for later this year, public attention and capital will flow toward the broader Space economy in ways we have not seen before, and the ripple effects on the entrepreneurial ecosystem will be significant and lasting.
This ecosystem is growing faster than most people realize, and the range of ways to participate, as a founder, investor, corporate partner, academic institution, or policy stakeholder, is broader and more accessible than ever before. If you are curious about where you fit in this expanding landscape and want to connect with the people and organizations already shaping it, GEN Space exists for exactly that purpose. Ad astra,
