GEW Erbil 2021

As Erbil has become one of the fastest growing economical city in Iraq and Kurdistan in particular, Meraki Ventures in collaboration with the Mesopotamia foundation are organizing the GEW Erbil 2021 event after a striking success last year, for the second year in a row.

The GEW event will consist of day 1 as the main event, in the most prestige hall in Erbil, capital city of Kurdistan, where the government officials, policymakers, established entrepreneurs and business owners all gather targeting the youth of the region to discuss the main four themes for this year's event: Policy, Inclusion, Education and Ecosystem. This incorporated with various activities and even a funding competition will be held to celebrate the entrepreneurs of the region.

The event will resume through its week with workshops in the top universities of Erbil city to target the youth more directly, presenting numerous activities that are inspiring as well as informative regarding entrepreneurship in order to plant the entrepreneurial seed in the minds of the youngsters, in return decreasing the demand for governmental employment and increasing the want and need for well-established self-made careers.
