The Hidden Entrepreneur

The event is to showcase the entrepreneurial talent of people with convictions and highlight how it can reduce the risk of re-offending and enable people to lead a crime free future, whilst contributing to the growth of the economy and having a safer society.

You will hear stories of success, learn of the plans of budding entrepreneurs, and participate in a pitching competition with the opportunity to pledge your support to enable them to gain their first customers and earn a legitimate income. Maybe you could pledge an hour of your time, or offer a good deal on your products / services to help someone gain their first few sales and help them lead a crime free future.

Starting a business can be hard, and overcoming barriers is a challenge, especially when leaving prison.

You will also get the chance to sample award winning products from HMP Pasties, who employ people with convictions. HMP Pasties was founded and is run by a former prisoner.
