In collaboration with Women in Digital Business which aims to support women coming from minority backgrounds, an exclusive I am Remarkable workshop will be awarded to companies that will donate to this worthwhile initiative.

It may not be a well-known fact, but while people from ethnic minorities make up 14% of the working-age population in the UK, they represent just 10% of the workforce.

Now, HR departments, learning development managers and corporate social responsibility departments are being asked to look for new ways to embrace inclusion in their organisations, and it’s easy to see why.

Evidence shows that if individuals from underrepresented groups could progress up their career ladder as quickly as their white counterparts, an impressive £24 billion could be added to the country’s economy each year. The I Am Remarkable initiative has been developed with this in mind.

What is I am Remarkable?

#IamRemarkable is a Google initiative empowering women and underrepresented groups to celebrate their achievements in the workplace and beyond.

I am Remarkable celebrates what makes a woman remarkable, talks about how to establish personal branding and practise self-promotion.

What is Women in Digital Business?

The Women in Digital Business Mastermind is conducting a Crowdfunding Campaign, backed by NatWest, that aims to help underrepresented women entrepreneurs in the tech and digital space get funding as part of Women in Digital Business’ initiative for diversity and inclusion.
The goal is to fund 10 female-led UK businesses who are members of the mastermind, to each receive up to £10,000 grant.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY + DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

As a reward for companies that donate £250 or more, they will be given a FREE Diversity and Inclusion Workshop for their employees.

Through the I am Remarkable workshop, you will have more empowered employees that celebrate and encourage diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

The aim of #IamRemarkable is to empower women and underrepresented groups to

• ​Overcome cultural, social and gender-related issues by giving them the tools to sharpen their self-promotion skills.
• ​Change social norms amongst women, address our own biases against underrepresented groups and women who vocally express their achievements. - Identify the challenges around “bragging”. 
• ​ Increase levels of confidence and self- worth for everyone attending
• ​Identify and utilise power sources for effective self-promotion
• ​ Uncover and utilise the potential of group sharing
• ​Practice vocally expressing achievements
• ​Create a safe space where everyone feels comfortable sharing

THE HOST

Natalia Nicholson is the founder of Women in Digital Business, which is a place where like-minded women from diverse backgrounds can network, find potential partners and advise each other to increase their chances of business success.

As a woman of colour herself, Natalia Nicholson wants women to understand how they can establish personal branding and self-promotion, and how they can possess all the right knowledge and tools to acquire self-confidence and become empowered to excel in the workplace, or as Women in Digital Business.
