From May 15 to 19, 2024, GEN Indonesia and the Korea Social Investment Foundation held an intensive speed mentoring session for four Korean tech startups aiming to expand into Southeast Asia, starting with Indonesia. The participating companies, which developed innovations ranging from a voice-to-sign language app to a smart shrimp farming system, received 10 hours of mentoring over 4-5 virtual meetings. This program helped them connect with potential local partners and gain a deeper understanding of the Indonesian market, preparing them for successful expansion in the region.

From May 15 to 19, 2024, GEN Indonesia, in collaboration with the Korea Social Investment Foundation, hosted an intensive speed mentoring session for Korean startup companies aiming to break into the Southeast Asian market, with a focus on Indonesia. This initiative featured four tech companies with impressive track records and substantial market traction. Their innovative solutions span various industries and include:

  • Voice to Sign Language App: This app translates voices into sign language avatars and vice versa, facilitating communication for individuals with hearing disabilities.
  • ERP App for Nursing School Document Management: This app streamlines document management processes for nursing schools.
  • Logistics Service for E-commerce Companies: This service aims to optimize logistics for e-commerce businesses, enhancing efficiency and delivery times.
  • Smart Shrimp Farming System: This system leverages technology to improve shrimp farming practices, ensuring sustainability and higher yields.
     

Over the course of the program, each company received a total of 10 hours of mentoring across 4-5 virtual meetings. These sessions provided invaluable insights and guidance, helping the startups to connect with potential local partners and gain a deeper understanding of the business ecosystem in their respective fields.
