About GEN Invest
GEN Invest gets the right capital in the right hands at the right time. Whether closing the credit gap or providing grants to underserved entrepreneurs, increasing an ecosystem’s investment capacity or improving individual investor performance through mentorship and training, earned trust among the GEN Invest community has laid the groundwork for effective cross-border, industry-wide capital, deal and knowledge sharing.
GEN Invest Initiatives include:
- Small Business Grants Program: Provides direct, equity-free capital to founders around the world to help them start, grow, and scale their businesses, delivered in partnership with corporations and foundations committed to expanding access to economic opportunity.
- Global Business Angels Network: A community of national angel investor networks that fosters mentorship, training, and provides a platform for the exchange of global market insights, investment opportunities, real-life experiences and best practices.
- Equitable Access Program: Provides financial health technical assistance, education, and increased access to credit for high-potential but credit-challenged small business owners in the United States. This initiative includes a Business Health Score tool and a $70m fund that will be developed and deployed over five years to improve equitable access to credit and capital amongst small business owners.
The Global Entrepreneurship Network operates programs, like GEN Invest, that make it easier for anyone, anywhere to start and scale a business. Active in 200 countries, GEN divides its programs into four distinct categories: those intended to celebrate entrepreneurs and inspire others to follow in their footsteps; those intended to better understand the underlying conditions that best enable entrepreneurs to thrive; those intended to support entrepreneurs through proven policy and programmatic interventions; and those intended to connect entrepreneurs, ecosystem builders and community leaders to strengthen local ecosystems around the world.
