Tokyo, Japan – The Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) officially announced the newly established board of directors at GEN Japan, one of more than 80 GEN affiliates helping to guide the development of healthy and globally-connected entrepreneurship ecosystems worldwide.
GEN Japan is led by managing director Hiro Nishiguchi, an experienced leader who previously led the country’s largest public-private investment fund with $20 billion investment capacity. He is supported by a board of successful entrepreneurs and startup community builders including:

Masaru Nagura, Director of Community Development for CIC Tokyo;

Masa Tadokoro, CEO and founder of unicornfarm;

The board was officially announced at the 2021 Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) Japan Finals on July 26. GEN Japan partnered with Japan Innovation Network and CIC Tokyo to organize the national competition which feeds into a global final with $1 million in cash prizes available. GEN Japan will also lead the country’s annual Global Entrepreneurship Week campaign, taking place this year November 8-14.
