The Global Entrepreneurship Network is pleased to announce the launch of Startup Huddle Tijuana, set to hold its first session on February 6, 2025. Led by local organizer Jair Hernandez and supported by Consejo de Desarrollo de Tijuana A.C., the Tijuana Startup Huddle chapter will offer entrepreneurs a valuable platform to present their challenges, gain insights, and receive feedback from peers and experienced ecosystem members. Tijuana’s Startup Huddle chapter is the newest addition to a global network of over 60 chapters worldwide, dedicated to strengthening entrepreneurial ecosystems through collaboration and innovation.
In a city rapidly evolving as a key entrepreneurial hub, Startup Huddle Tijuana will provide essential support to founders facing obstacles such as visibility, mentorship, and resource access. By offering a structured and supportive environment, Startup Huddle will bring together local talent and innovation, cultivating a culture of peer-to-peer learning and problem-solving. According to GEN research, high levels of community connectivity can significantly enhance a startup’s growth prospects, making initiatives like Startup Huddle critical for fostering a vibrant and resilient ecosystem.
“Startup Huddle is essential for Tijuana because it gives our entrepreneurs the chance to connect, collaborate, and gain meaningful insights from both peers and industry leaders,” said Jair Hernandez, local organizer of Startup Huddle Tijuana. “With so much untapped talent and innovative ideas here, we’re excited to create a space where founders can thrive, inspire one another, and contribute to our city’s growth.”
At each Startup Huddle event, local entrepreneurs will deliver six-minute presentations outlining specific challenges they face in their ventures, followed by a 20-minute discussion with an audience of peers, mentors, and advisors. This interactive format encourages constructive feedback, shared learning, and community engagement. As the program progresses, presenters will join the audience to support others, creating a cycle of ongoing growth and connection among Tijuana’s entrepreneurs.
While the initial lineup of presenters is pending final coordination with the Consejo Coordinador Empresarial de Tijuana, the Tijuana chapter is eager to spotlight emerging ventures that will showcase the talent and innovation within the community. Supported by Consejo de Desarrollo de Tijuana A.C., Startup Huddle Tijuana is set to provide a consistent platform for sharing ideas, challenges, and experiences, all with the goal of empowering local startups and strengthening Tijuana’s economic and social development.
