St Catherines GEW2016 - Micro Enterprise in Action

Following on from the success of the pilot on Year 8 last year, GEW 2016 will see the whole of St. Catherines engage in some form of entrepreneurial activity, design by the students themselves!

In order to enter, students are to able to choose and engage by EITHER:

1) Business in Action - try and be entrepreneurial by developing a business idea such as selling products or providing a service outside of school to friends and family. Keep a note of your profit! Write an account of your experience, whether successful or not!

2) Planning in Action - develop a short business plan about a business idea that you have. Using 4 headings, Consider what the business will sell, where you will sell it, how much money you will need to run your business and any potential problems that you would face and overcome.

3) Students in Action - write an account of a time that you have recently had to take a risk and use your initiative to solve a problem. It doesn't have to be business related. Entrepreneurial attitude is about the willingness to try something new, thinking on your feet and overcoming obstacles.

See Mr Allen in A8 with a written account, or bring it on a USB stick.

The entries will be judged and an overall winner announced! There will be an entrepreneurial prize!
