May 20, 2019, a celebration of adding another ecosystem player to the Namibian entrepreneurial ecosystem namely the Olafika Training an Mentorship Program aiming to allow small and micro enterprises to shine by enhancing their entrepreneurial excellence unlocking a better future for Namibian entrepreneurs.
The commencement ceremony took place at the Rock Lodge near Okahandja.
GEN Namibia is proud to announce that 7 of GEN members signed up to be part of the training and mentorship program.
Twapewa, started volunteering to the Junior Achievement Company program where she saw how inspired the learners were from the rest of the country at the session, where she presented her times of struggle and surviving.
After an insightful volunteer session, she announced to the then Country Director, Mrs. Johanna Cloete, that she wants to inspire people in Namibia to become entrepreneurial. she realised that she could be successful and help others to overcome economic hardships and improve the quality of their lives.
The tough times of facing economic challenges where she felt incapacitated was short lived. She and her husband Erastus, brought their forces of entrepreneurial insight together and the businesses bloomed.
she was inducted as a Laureate to the Namibian Business Hall of Fame for her ingenuity and contribution to employment and overall to the economy.
She wrote a book titled "Successful Entrepreneurship" she realised while putting the chapters together that there is a need for mentorship in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Then Olafika SME Development Training and Mentorship program was born.
her story can assist other professionals to become involved in assisting their fellow country men to improve the quality of life for them.
