About GEN Namibia

The Global Entrepreneurship Network began operating in Namibia by conducting its annual Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) campaign. GEN Namibia was established in 2015 as GEN's national affiliate in order to conduct programs aimed at making it easier for anyone in Namibia to start and scale a business.

Through GEW, GEN Namibia celebrates the successes and impact of Namibian entrepreneurs to help break down cultural barriers, and expand the number of people who at some point in their life will consider becoming an entrepreneur.

GEN Namibia also works to identify which evidence-based public policies and programs accelerate growth through network resources that include the Global Entrepreneurship Research Network (GERN) and GEN’s Startup Nations policymaker network.

Through GEN's live events, including its Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC) and GEC+ series, the annual Startup Nations Summit, GEN Namibia helps to break down siloes and enhance collaboration among entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, researchers and startup community leaders.
