Introduction: Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is a global movement that empowers aspiring entrepreneurs and fosters an environment where innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurship thrive. Each year, GEW events take place in over 170 countries, bringing together entrepreneurs, policymakers, investors, and support organizations to celebrate and promote entrepreneurship. In line with this global initiative, Calabar, Nigeria, is proud to host the Global Entrepreneur Week Calabar 2024.
Themes: Global Entrepreneur Week Calabar 2024: Entrepreneurship for everyone: will focus on four distinct theme areas, which reflect the key pillars of the GEW movement:
- Innovation and Technology: This theme will highlight the role of innovation and technology in driving entrepreneurship. It will showcase groundbreaking startups, emerging technologies, and the importance of digital transformation in today's business landscape.
- Inclusive Entrepreneurship: Inclusivity is at the heart of GEW. This theme will emphasize the importance of removing barriers and promoting diversity in entrepreneurship. We will spotlight initiatives that support underrepresented groups, including women, youth, and minority entrepreneurs.
- Sustainable Business Practices: Sustainability is an essential element of modern entrepreneurship. This theme will explore how entrepreneurs can build environmentally and socially responsible businesses. It will feature discussions on green entrepreneurship, circular economy, and sustainable supply chains.
- Global Collaboration: Collaboration is key to entrepreneurial success. This theme will highlight the power of global networks, partnerships, and international markets. We will facilitate discussions on cross-border entrepreneurship, export opportunities, and global market trends.
