The Global Entrepreneurship Network operates a number of programs in Guatemala through its partner organizations: the Asociacion de Emprendedores de Guatemala (ASEGUA), the Landivar Entrepreneurship Center, and the Kirzner Entrepreneurship Center at the Universidad Francisco Marroquin. GEN is a platform of projects and programs in 200 countries aimed at making it easier for anyone, anywhere to start and scale a business.
Led by ASEGUA, Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), celebrates the successes and impact of entrepreneurs in an effort to help break down cultural barriers and reach new audiences, expanding the number of people who at some point in their life consider becoming an entrepreneur. Each year, more than 80 GEW Events take place supported by more than 60 partners.
In partnership with the Landivar Center, GEN organizes Startup Huddle in Guatemala City. Startup Huddle helps one entrepreneur at a time while strengthening the local ecosystem. Entrepreneurs discover challenges to the solutions they face through purposeful engagement with a broad array of voices from their local community.
GEN helps break down siloes and enhance collaboration among entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, researchers and startup community leaders through its virtual platforms and numerous live events, including its Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC) and GEC+ series, the annual Startup Nations Summit, and by co-hosting other events across the globe.
