About Entrepreneur to Enterprise 2026

Entrepreneur to Enterprise 2026 is an entrepreneurial empowerment and enterprise development gathering designed to bridge the gap between entrepreneurial ambition and sustainable business growth.

Taking place in Ivory Park, Midrand, the event will bring together more than 300 aspiring and established entrepreneurs, small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs), business professionals, corporate representatives, enterprise development practitioners, financial institutions and other stakeholders who have a role to play in strengthening South Africa's entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The event is built around a fundamental understanding: entrepreneurship requires more than a good idea, and business growth requires more than hard work. Entrepreneurs need knowledge, access to markets, financial understanding, meaningful relationships, business support and opportunities to participate in the wider economy.

Across South Africa, many entrepreneurs have the determination to build successful businesses but encounter barriers that make progress difficult. These may include limited access to funding, insufficient business knowledge, challenges with compliance, difficulties reaching customers, limited exposure to corporate procurement processes and a lack of connections to institutions that can support business development.

For emerging entrepreneurs, the challenge may be understanding where to begin and how to turn an idea into a viable business. For existing business owners, it may be finding the resources, customers, systems and partnerships needed to move beyond survival and achieve sustainable growth.

Entrepreneur to Enterprise 2026 seeks to create a space where these challenges can be explored constructively and where entrepreneurs can engage with people, institutions and opportunities that can help them take their next steps.

Through practical discussions, expert contributions, interactive engagement, networking and business showcasing, the event will encourage participants to think beyond simply starting a business and focus on building enterprises that are credible, sustainable, competitive and capable of participating in the broader economy.

The objective is not merely to host another entrepreneurship gathering. It is to facilitate meaningful engagement between entrepreneurs and the wider business ecosystem, encouraging the exchange of knowledge, the formation of relationships and the identification of practical opportunities for growth.

Entrepreneur to Enterprise is about helping entrepreneurs move from intention to action, from isolated effort to meaningful connections, and from operating a business to building an enterprise with the potential to grow.

What Will Attendees Walk Away With?

By the end of the event, participants should have gained:

Business knowledge: Practical insights into business development, compliance, financial management, branding and marketing.

Funding and support awareness: Greater understanding of potential funding pathways and relevant business support programmes.

Procurement readiness: Insights into corporate procurement, supplier development, business credibility and market access.

Marketing and branding insights: A stronger understanding of how effective positioning, customer engagement and emerging technologies can support business growth.

Meaningful connections: Opportunities to engage with fellow entrepreneurs, potential partners, professional service providers and business support stakeholders.

Market exposure: Broader perspectives on opportunities in sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, technology, tourism and recycling.

Practical next steps: An opportunity to identify at least one action to pursue following the event.

The objective is to improve awareness, encourage meaningful engagement and help entrepreneurs identify practical steps towards business growth. Specific funding, procurement and partnership opportunities will depend on the participating organisations and their applicable requirements.
