Idea Day at the USJ Institute of Psychomotor Therapy

The USJ Entrepreneurship Center (EC²) brings its Idea Day to the Institute of Psychomotor Therapy (IPM) to help students turn creative concepts into real-world business and social projects. The event is aimed at students at the earliest stage of the entrepreneurial journey, when an idea exists but has yet to be tested, shaped, or put into words.

Throughout the day, students meet with professional mentors, including entrepreneurs, business leaders, and industry experts, who spend time with them to discuss their ideas. In an informal and supportive setting, students present their concepts and receive honest, practical feedback. Mentors help them assess feasibility, challenge their assumptions, and point out risks and opportunities they may have overlooked.

For students of psychomotor therapy, Idea Day is an opportunity to look at their field through an entrepreneurial lens. Their training in movement, body awareness, child development, and emotional and relational well-being gives them a close understanding of real human needs. The day helps them explore how that understanding could become a practical service, tool, or program, whether in therapy and rehabilitation, early childhood support, special education, wellness, or community health. Mentors can also guide them through the questions specific to care-related ventures, such as how to reach the people who need support, how to deliver a service sustainably, and how to balance social impact with financial viability.

Beyond feedback on individual ideas, the day is about building an entrepreneurial mindset: thinking critically, testing assumptions, and approaching problems the way founders do. Students with promising concepts can be guided toward further EC² support, such as workshops, incubation, and competitions, to help them move from idea to impact.
