Social Entrepreneurship in Times of Crises: Student Pitching Activities at ULS

The University of La Sagesse (ULS), as part of the SE.TC Erasmus+ project (co-funded by the European Union), will organize a series of student pitching activities linked to the course Social Entrepreneurship in Times of Crises.

Throughout the activity week, ULS students will have the opportunity to present their social entrepreneurship projects, share innovative ideas, and propose solutions to pressing social, economic, and community challenges. Building on the knowledge and skills developed through the course, students will explore how social entrepreneurship can contribute to resilience, social inclusion, and sustainable development, particularly in contexts affected by crises.

The pitching activities will provide students with a platform to communicate their ideas, explain the social impact of their proposed initiatives, and strengthen their entrepreneurial, critical-thinking, teamwork, and presentation skills. They will also encourage peer learning, constructive feedback, and the exchange of ideas around addressing community needs through innovative and sustainable approaches.

By connecting entrepreneurship education with real-world challenges, the activities seek to empower students to become proactive changemakers and contribute to positive social impact within their communities.

Expected outcomes:

  • Showcase student-led social entrepreneurship ideas and projects.
  • Strengthen students' pitching, communication, and entrepreneurial skills.
  • Encourage innovative responses to social challenges in times of crisis.
  • Promote social responsibility, resilience, and sustainable community development.
  • Raise awareness of social entrepreneurship as a tool for creating positive change.

The activity forms part of the broader objectives of the SE.TC Erasmus+ project to promote social entrepreneurship education and equip learners with the skills and mindset needed to address societal challenges.2
