GEN in Lebanon

GEN began activities in Lebanon in 2008 when it launched Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW). Lebanon has conducted the annual campaign continually with a rotating cast of local partners stepping forward to coordinate and host activities each year. The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) is GEN's anchor partner in the country, hosting the annual GEW campaign and GEN pitch competitions through its Asher Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. GEN’s mission is strengthening connections, knowledge, and capital flows that allow Lebanese founders to scale into global markets – linking them to international investors, peer founders, and policy networks through GEN’s global platform, and supporting the local champions who keep the country’s entrepreneurial community moving forward.

GLOBAL SPOTLIGHT

Entrepreneurs Thrive Here: Global Entrepreneurship Week 2026

Millions of people around the world have the ideas, talent, and ambition to build something better for themselves and their communities — but have never seen entrepreneurship as a path available to them. Global Entrepreneurship Week, taking place November 16-22, 2026, changes that. This campaign meets people where they are and connects them to the networks, tools, and support to take that first step — showing what’s possible in their own communities.
