Seven Steps to SUCCESS: Enabling Refugee Entrepreneurs to Flourish, is a major report from the Centre For Policy Development’s Effective Government Program and the Open Political Economy Network. 

It draws on Australian and international best practice to outline policy recommendations to government, business and civil society on how to better support refugee entrepreneurs.

This study mapped key actors supporting newcomer entrepreneurs in 10 markets in Europe,  (Austria, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and the UK.) collecting practitioners’ insights on current capacities and barriers and selecting good practices. It highlights opportunities to strengthen support for newcomer entrepreneurs both at ecosystem and programme level.
This is an interactive resource designed to equip you with the knowledge and strategies required to meet the needs of women entrepreneurs. This handbook can be applied in the context of a women-only programme or to better support women founders within a mixed gender programme.

This policy brief, prepared by the OECD and European Commission, explores the potential of entrepreneurship policy to support the labour market participation of people with disabilities. Disabilities vary widely in type, severity, stability, duration and time of onset, and these characteristics influence individual capacities and willingness to be active in the labour market.

This report represents the voice of the entrepreneur, based on interviews and surveys with over 500 disabled entrepreneurs. It includes the findings from this research and recommendations to all parts of society on how to make the UK a better place to be a disabled entrepreneur.
The report, Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs: Removing Barriers (2023), updates the data describing the national capital access and entrepreneurial support landscape that was originally presented in the 2019 report, while also layering in data from new sources that provide greater context into the experiences and challenges facing entrepreneurs in today’s economy.

This report analyses refugee entrepreneurship, its role in providing jobs for refugees and host communities, and how business, governments, and development partners can support it.
The survey presented in this report examines the aspects of Refugee Entrepreneurship Initiatives (REIs) that fulfill two important criteria; 1) they are commonly monitored and reported by REI providers regardless of setting and 2) they are indicative of positive business-related outcomes for refugee business owners. Building on findings from several reports and field studies, the academic team held a series of focus groups in 2022 in collaboration with The Human Safety Net to determine activities and outcomes that were meaningful and measurable to a broad constituency of REIs.
