Karachi, Pakistan – The entrepreneurial spirit was on full display at the Bahria University Karachi Campus (BUKC) as the Business Incubation Center (BIC) successfully hosted a major mentoring session in celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2025. The official GEW activity, titled “Build Local, Scale Global – How Entrepreneurs Have Leveraged Local Ecosystems to Grow,” was a collaborative effort between the BIC and the Entrepreneurship students from the Bahria Business School (BBS) Business Studies Department. This session underscores the institution's commitment to nurturing homegrown businesses with international ambitions.

The Business Incubation Center, BUKC, which has maintained a robust partnership with the Global Entrepreneurship Network Pakistan (GEN) since 2017, organized the event to provide valuable, real-world insights to aspiring founders. The core purpose of the session was to inspire students and early-stage entrepreneurs by practically demonstrating how a strong local support system and ecosystem can be the foundational catalyst for businesses looking to expand and scale their operations on a global level.

The highlight of the afternoon event, held on November 13 at 1:30 PM, was the keynote speaker, Mr. Muhammad Omer Khan, the CEO and Founder of Bits Collision. Drawing from his own journey, Mr. Khan offered attendees practical strategies and actionable advice on leveraging local resources, networks, and industry expertise to achieve significant growth and international competitiveness.

The session was expertly facilitated by its hosts: Engr. Syed Rizwan Ali, Assistant Professor and Head of the Business Incubation Center BUKC, who also serves as the Regional Coordinator for the Global Entrepreneurship Network Pakistan; and Dr. Raheel Farooqi, Senior Lecturer in the Business Studies Department at BUKC. Their presence and experience emphasized the academic and institutional backing for entrepreneurship at Bahria University. This inspiring event concluded as a resounding success, fulfilling its role as a key activity for the Global Entrepreneurship Week campaign, in official partnership with GEN Pakistan.
