Peshawar is set to come alive with entrepreneurial energy as the National Incubation Center (NIC) Peshawar celebrates Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) from November 17–23, bringing together students, founders, policymakers, and young innovators under this year’s theme: “Together We Build.”
Over the course of four days, NIC Peshawar will host a series of interactive events designed to inspire creativity, strengthen collaboration, and spotlight the vibrant startup ecosystem of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Day 1 (17 November): Open Day – “Entrepreneurship Unlocked”
The week begins with Entrepreneurship Unlocked, an engaging outreach session specially curated for students from the Government College of Commerce and IMSciences. Led by seasoned trainer Farhad Shafqat Qayyum, the session aims to spark curiosity and encourage the next generation to explore entrepreneurship as a viable path.
Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of entrepreneurial thinking—innovation, problem-solving, and opportunity identification—through real-world examples and interactive discussions. The session will also provide an inside look into NIC Peshawar’s programs, showcasing how the center supports emerging founders in transforming ideas into impactful startups.
Day 2 (18 November): Policy Dialogue – “Building the Digital North”
On the second day, NIC Peshawar will convene top industry leaders, policymakers, and ecosystem enablers for a high-level roundtable titled “Building the Digital North: A Roadmap for Innovation & Entrepreneurship in KP.”
The conversation will focus on strengthening the province’s innovation landscape through actionable policy recommendations. Topics will include fostering industry–academia collaboration, improving access to resources for founders, and designing long-term strategies to support sustainable growth.“
The entrepreneurial momentum in KP is undeniable,” says Shafeeq Gigyani, Program Manager at NIC Peshawar. “Through collaborative dialogue, we aim to build a stronger, more enabling environment for startups—one that supports innovation today and accelerates economic growth for years to come.”
Day 3 (19 November): Kidspreneur Lab – Igniting Creativity at a Young Age
Young innovators will take center stage at the Kidspreneur Lab, a hands-on design thinking workshop led by Shafeeq Gigyani. Children will learn to brainstorm ideas, build prototypes, and present solutions to real-world problems in a playful, supportive environment.
The session aims not only to introduce entrepreneurship early but also to build confidence, teamwork, and critical thinking—skills essential for the next generation of leaders. NIC Peshawar continues to prioritize early-age innovation as a long-term investment in the province’s human capital.
Day 4 (20 November): Startup Huddle Peshawar – Founders Supporting Founders
The series concludes with Startup Huddle Peshawar, a dynamic peer-learning session that brings together NIC startups—both current and alumni—for experience-sharing and problem-solving. Founders will engage in open discussions, seek feedback, and gain fresh perspectives through mutual support.
Following the huddle, visitors will tour a curated showcase of innovative products developed by startups incubated at NIC Peshawar. The exhibit highlights the region’s creativity, resilience, and growing impact in Pakistan’s entrepreneurial landscape.
Together We Build: KP’s Growing Entrepreneurship Movement
As Pakistan joins more than 200 countries in celebrating Global Entrepreneurship Week, NIC Peshawar stands at the forefront of cultivating innovation and strengthening the province’s startup ecosystem.
“GEW is a reminder that entrepreneurship thrives when communities come together,” adds Shafeeq Gigyani. “Our events this week reflect our belief in collaboration—between students, founders, policymakers, and even children. Together, we build the future of KP.”
With four days of immersive learning, high-level dialogue, and community engagement, NIC Peshawar’s GEW celebrations reaffirm its commitment to empowering entrepreneurs and driving inclusive growth across the region.
