On Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. at the headquarters of the American University (Auditorium Hall, Ground Floor), in the city of Asunción, the Conversation on Startup Nations Policy Dialogue is developed, open to all interested public.
The Startup Nations Policy Dialogue is organized by Karakú Emprendedor with GEN Paraguay. From Karaku Emprendedor, Romina Da Re, Emiliano González, and Germán Barreto, as members of the 2023 Executive Committee and GEN Paraguay, through the Economist and University teacher, Juan Paredes Romero, Director of Information and Internationalization of the Vice Ministry of MSMEs, dependent on the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. Juan Paredes Romero serves as Public Policy Ambassador of GEN Paraguay, performing outstanding work as a collaborator of the “Public Policy Atlas” published by GEN Global.
This event is part of a series of conversations on Public Policies called Startup Nations Policy Dialogues, driven by the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), from its headquarters in Washington, DC, to facilitate the debate on public policies and support instruments for the entrepreneur.
This initiative is part of the path that each country is forging towards its participation in the Startup Nations Ministerial, organized annually by GEN with the support of the OECD.

In this Startup Nations Policy Dialogue, the presence of Cristina Fernández, from GEN Global, with vast experience in integrating public officials in startup ecosystems around the world, creating platforms for them to exchange ideas with policy makers from other nations. with the aim of identifying the best ways to unleash entrepreneurship. By forging and coordinating the political community of Startup Nations, Cristina has worked jointly with policy makers and political advisors in more than 100 countries. In all political commitments, she seeks to integrate the best research in the field to better guide policy formulation, with the help of knowledge partners and members of the GEN research community.
Members of Startup Nations, affiliated GEN leaders in countries, and knowledge partners organize Startup Nations policy dialogues throughout the year. These dialogues are designed to facilitate debates on interventions led by governments at the local, national, and regional levels.
Through sincere conversations focused on current policy challenges, innovative policy solutions, new evidence on impact, and upcoming policy priorities, these Political Dialogues help prepare governments for their participation in the annual Startup Nations Ministerial. It also helps to improve coordination and cooperation at all levels of government: national, regional, and municipal.
