GEM 2023/2024 Global Report

This report marks GEM's 25th anniversary of assessing global entrepreneurship trends and provides crucial insights into the state of entrepreneurship worldwide. The study is based on responses from over 136,000 individuals across 46 economies and assessments from 2,000 experts in 49 economies. It highlights significant findings, particularly the persistent weakness in entrepreneurial education across most economies. The report evaluates 13 Entrepreneurial Framework Conditions (EFCs) that influence new business creation, with entrepreneurial education at school rated as satisfactory or better in only five out of 49 economies. Additionally, the report introduces the National Entrepreneurship Context Index (NECI), which represents the quality of an economy's entrepreneurial environment. The GEM 2023/2024 Global Report serves as a valuable resource for policymakers, academics, entrepreneurs, and international organizations, offering a comprehensive overview of global entrepreneurship trends and challenges.
