The report surveyed 120 women from nearly 20 European countries, representing various fund sizes, with 80% of respondents being mothers. It highlights significant concerns among women in VC, including worries about returning to work after having children, career progression, and the long-term sustainability of balancing VC careers with parenting. The study reveals that 71% of women planning to have children are concerned about returning to work, and 84% express concerns about parental leave policies. The report also explores the gender disparity in the VC industry, where women comprise only 16% of European General Partners and a third of investing teams. By sharing these experiences and data, the report aims to foster understanding, inspire change, and provide actionable insights for improving support for women in the VC industry.
