MAPPING POLAND’S TECH SECTOR: A Network Analysis of the Entrepreneurship Community

This report provides an in-depth analysis of Poland's tech entrepreneurship ecosystem, offering valuable insights into its current state, strengths, and weaknesses. The study employs network mapping to visualize connections between entrepreneurial companies through former employment, mentorship, investment, and serial entrepreneurship. Based on nearly 100 interviews with Polish founders and extensive data on over 1000 companies, VCs, and support organizations, the report highlights key findings such as the rise of specialized subsectors, the impact of public funding on the local VC market, and the importance of businesses that grow rapidly to 50 or more employees for economic growth. It also emphasizes the potential of "international first" tech companies in positioning Poland as a globally competitive hub for entrepreneurship.
