Leonard Francis Vibbi is a Civic Technologist and one of Sierra Leones rising Entrepreneurs. He is a big advocate of fighting the African Brain Drain and encouraging more Africans to return to their home countries after finishing their education abroad. As a leader who leads by example, Leonard relocated to his home country of Sierra Leone from the United States of America in 2017 to help build the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Over his short stay in Sierra Leone, Leonard has served as civic tech consultant for leading tech hubs in Sierra Leone like iDT Labs and SBTS group. He has strong interest in using his professional background in Technology and Innovation to build start-ups, in Sierra Leone and the sub region, that are dedicated to solving problems in education, child nutrition, Digital Economy, Big Data, research and financial technologies.
Leonard Francis Vibbi recently won the Global Entrepreneurship Network Entrepreneurship pitch competition in Sierra Leone. Leonard’s winning idea, Careerexpo seeks to address the knowledge gap in Sierra Leone’s job market through working with universities authorities, students and employers to provide students with hands on practical skills that will support sustainable career development.
