Global Entrepreneurship Week: Involving Rural Communities

In a rural area where people may well face further challenges of poverty and a lack of skills, entrepreneurship, as a solution, may be a difficult vehicle to drive. We aim to showcase rural communities' achievements and encourage their active participation in the country's economy through entrepreneurship with the great assistance of partnerships, intense coaching and best training. In the village of Malangeni, town of Lusikisiki, South Africa under the leadership of Chief Mjoji, young ladies and gentlemen were trained into school shoe manufacturing, coached and mentored closely. Within a space of two months there was a drastic shift in their mindset, confidence and determination. We aim to replicate this concept in other villages.

There will be networking events where other rural entrepreneurs who are thriving in the area, policy makers, investors and government, will be invited.
