L+EARN #BIZ Closeout Event (Virtual)
The L+EARN #BIZ programme is a dual Consumer Financial Education (CFE) and Micro-enterprise initiative that is targeted at young Black (Black African, Coloured, and Indian) micro-enterprise owners. The programme aims to develop beneficiary’s personal and business financial literacy knowledge and skills and to support and improve their income-generation activities and capacity, enabling their greater participation in the economy.
#BIZ 2023
In 2023 the ASISA Foundation delivered its second iteration of the #BIZ Virtual Consumer Financial Education (CFE) programme, targeted at young Black (African, Coloured, and Indian) micro-enterprise owners, with the aim to develop young Black micro-enterprise owner’s personal and business financial literacy knowledge and skills through interactive training, as well as support and improve their income-generation activities and capacity through business coaching and mentoring.
The #BIZ 2023 Close Out Event will mark a milestone on the programme and hence the alignment to the 2023 Global Entrepreneurship Week. On the Close out event top-10 participants will compete through pitch presentations to a panel of adjudicators, based on the content learned during the programme.
