Sri Lanka Launches GEW 2025 at Universities Across the Country

Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) Sri Lanka 2025, celebrated under the theme “Together We Build,” brings together students, young innovators, universities, and industry leaders to inspire collaboration, innovation, and community-driven growth. The university-level launch, held at Universal College Lanka (UCL) , NSBM Green University, and NIBM, featured interactive workshops, motivational talks, and networking opportunities, encouraging participants to explore entrepreneurship and turn ideas into impactful ventures. Through this initiative, Sri Lanka aims to strengthen its entrepreneurial ecosystem and empower the next generation of leaders to create meaningful change.

COLOMBO, 18 November 2025 – Sri Lanka marked the start of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2025 with successful university-level launches under this year’s theme “Together We Build.” The initiative brought together students, young innovators, and academic leaders from Universal College Lanka (UCL) , NSBM Green University, and NIBM, creating an inspiring platform for entrepreneurship and collaboration.


Speakers emphasized the importance of community, innovation, and collaboration in building a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem. “When we work together as learners, creators, and leaders, we create opportunities that none of us could achieve alone,” said one of the keynote speakers. “Together We Build is more than a theme — it’s a call to action for every student to turn ideas into impact.”
The events featured interactive sessions, workshops, and discussions to encourage students to explore entrepreneurship, develop innovative ideas, and contribute to Sri Lanka’s growing startup ecosystem.
