As the curtains draw on another remarkable Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) in Sri Lanka, we find ourselves amidst a celebration of collaboration and achievement. With the collective efforts of over 65 partners, orchestrating 160+ activities and drawing the participation of over 10,000 eager individuals, our journey has been nothing short of magnificent. Surpassing expectations, our collective endeavors propelled us to the 7th spot on the GEW Leaderboard, a testament to our dedication and zeal.

Looking back, our team embarked on this journey as novices, devoid of prior experience in such a colossal endeavor. Admittedly clueless initially, we navigated uncharted waters with determination, piecing together our paths and discovering untapped reservoirs of potential along the way. It was a learning curve we embraced wholeheartedly.

The pivotal roles played by each team member underscored the essence of teamwork and synergy. Pranitha's initiation was amplified by Michelle's unwavering support, seamlessly transitioning responsibility to Vidumini, who, in turn, was backed by the solidarity of the rest of the team. Sandun's commendable efforts in handling the back-end operations ensured the smooth execution of our endeavors. Jaseem's unwavering commitment and multitasking prowess earned him the respect of all, while Mosh's omnipresence and readiness to assist whenever called upon proved invaluable. Abith's infectious positivity and leadership guided us through the highs and lows, steering us toward success.

Notably, our success wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our title sponsors, Mastercard and BugZero, whose contributions significantly enhanced our endeavors.

In retrospect, the culmination of our efforts exceeded our wildest expectations. The acknowledgment from GEN President Mr. Jonathan Auttman, deeming our GEW Launch as one of his favorite highlights, filled us with an inexplicable sense of pride. This recognition held significant weight, especially for a country with a GDP of only 88 billion, among nations with a 3 trillion GDP. It validated the tireless dedication and countless hours invested by the team, where hard work transformed into tangible recognition.

As we bid adieu to yet another remarkable GEW, we eagerly anticipate the prospects of the future. Let this serve as a reminder that ”entrepreneurs thrive here, within the collaborative spirit that binds us together. Until we reconvene next year, let the success of this year's endeavors fuel our ambitions for even greater accomplishments on the horizon. Cheers to one of the finest Global Entrepreneurship Weeks, a testament to our collective resilience and dedication!
