Startup Huddle Around the World

Startup Huddle organizers around the world are preparing to mark Global Entrepreneurship Week and its celebrations throughout November with special events. Each event will follow the Startup Huddle model: early-stage startup founders will give six-minute presentation about their business to a diverse audience from their community. Afterwards, audience members will offer feedback to the entrepreneur during a 20-minute question and answer session. 

  • Antwerp, Belgium: On November 14, Startup Huddle Antwerp is hosting a Huddle at The Birdhouse. More details will be posted closer to the date. Learn more about the event here: https://www.genglobal.org/node/121111 

  • Bonaire: In the Caribbean, Startup Huddle Bonaire will host its official launch session at Divi Flamingo Beach Resort. The first founder to present will be Mohit Mukherjee co- founder of the Center for Executive Education at the University of Peace in Costa Rica.  

  • Botogtà, Colombia: In Colombia, Startup Huddle Bogotá is hosting a Huddle on November 16, in partnership with SUEGO and OrangeUp. The event will showcase local business leaders, highlighting how they have overcome challenges in their businesses. The Huddle is celebrating a theme of “Give First” and is encouraging entrepreneurs to use their collective wisdom to advance the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.   • Curacao: In the Caribbean, Startup Huddle Curacao is hosting its regular monthly Startup Huddle at Curaçao Coworking on November 16.  The community will hear from Sueene Ostiana, founder of Produktivo and her journey building an SME support consultancy.   • Johannesburg, South Africa: Startup Huddle Johannesburg, in partnership with 22 On Sloane, is hosting a Startup Huddle on November 16. The Huddle will be hosted in partnership with Geekulcha, exploring the topic “How I Screwed Up My Tech Startup and What I Learned from It.” The Huddle will focus on bridging the gap between tech startup founders and business skills.   • Manta, Ecuador: Join Startup Huddle Manta, in partnership with the Social and Economic Integration Subgroup of the GTRM (Refugee and Migrant Working Group) of Manta to explore how the Manta community can uplift refugee entrepreneurs.   • Oxford, UK: In the United Kingdom, Startup Huddle Oxford is hosting its November Startup Huddle event at the BIPC Centre on November 17. The Huddle will feature founders from the Oxford community, including Nick Henry, founder of Nick Henry Consulting Ltd, who will speak about their entrepreneurial journeys.   • San Salvador, El Salvador: GEN El Salvador, NUTRINACIONOPAMSS, and FUSADES are hosting Startup Huddle San Salvador on November 19. The Huddle aims to work with entrepreneurs and their communities to support and empower them through exploring challenges and learning to break down barriers that entrepreneurs face.   • Winchester, UK: The University of Winchester is partnering with Global Entrepreneurship Network to host a special edition of Startup Huddle. This Huddle, taking place on November 15, will focus on celebrating the startups from the University of Winchester and building a community of entrepreneurs in the local area. The event will kick off with a speech from Josh Armstrong, Startup Huddle Winchester Project Manager and University of Winchester’s Enterprise Officer.
