Startup Huddle St. Petersburg: business model for marketplaces, drone shows, and music festival

On March 12, the Union of Business Angels Organizations, held a meeting of entrepreneurs in Saint Petersburg within the educational program Startup Huddle.

Oleg Odinokikh presented the engineering company Aerodyne RC, which is engaged in design and drones’ manufacture since 2017. This year, the team is going to focus on set up and run the drones’ show. Experienced entrepreneurs, experts, mentors and investors analyzed the business model and expressed the need for slight adjustment. As well as they recommended to assess the situation on the world market due to the crisis circumstances and global events cancellation for an indefinite period.

Jan Stoljar produced the Admin.Sale project to support micro and small businesses. Experts suggested to pay much more attention to actively informing about project services in order to firmly take their market place.Theу also share an idea of integration possibility into banking structures that deal with small businesses and discussed the prospects for interaction with each specific group of customers from micro and macro businesses.

Anastasia Vasilevskaya made a presentation of the music educational festival SNAME. Now the team of festival organizers is forming a marketing strategy and is looking for ways to attract sponsors. Experts assumed that Committee on youth policy and interaction with public organizations should be interested in such music educational platform. So they suggested to address them. They also emphasized how the festival organization work is complicated and what the team should to prioritize for success.

Within a meeting of Startup Huddle program Andrey Bogdan presented the marketplace YesStroy for construction materials sale. The experts analyzed the construction aggregator capabilities and its specifics and gave recommendations for interaction with manufacturers and industry suppliers.

Peter Movchan presented PortalEnergy company, which is engaged in the production of charging stations for electric vehicles. The company is working systematically to develop this infrastructure in Russia. Petr Movchan discussed with entrepreneurs the main points of business concentration and listened to experts’ recommendations on the focus of attention in his work. The entrepreneurs also discussed the crowdfunding platforms usage to help the project come to life and considered the features of  investment processes.
