STEM in mathematics teaching and learning

Due to our belief in the continuous change in students’ learning methods, the desire to move away from the ordinary, and to provide the latest and most successful methods to advance education and learning in Jordan, “STEAM” work
 STEAM education aims to give meaning to learning by linking all subjects and concepts together. To create a learner capable of facing the evolving labor market, and aware of the developments and skills of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
 The workshop included giving the student teachers four global and local problems that correspond to global goals for achieving sustainable development, and asked them to find sustainable solutions to these problems “at the lowest possible costs.”
 The issues discussed are:
 1. Water pollution and its transfer to homes.
 2. Pollution of sea and ocean water from ships.
 3. Generating sustainable electricity from wind.

4. Build flood-resistant homes to ensure public safety.
 The participants worked first by choosing one problem to solve, and the participants were from different specializations (Arabic language, English language, mathematics, sciences). Before starting the design, the student teachers made an initial model of the project through design thinking, which is a method of pre-planning any work within or Outside the classroom, to ensure mastery and quality of learning
