Startups Compete to Win Financial and In-Kind Prizes in Entrepreneurship World Cup Turkey

The ‘’Laska’’ team, which won first place, stands out with their environmentally friendly and sustainable production approach

The Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC), organized by Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) and Monsha'at, brought entrepreneurs together for the 5th time. EWC Turkey organized by GEN Turkey and Habitat Association in Turkey, aims to strengthen the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Turkey.

The Entrepreneurship World Cup is a program that supports entrepreneurs at every level from idea to scale-up, offering a global platform with opportunities such as pitch deck presentations, online training resources, mentorship and cash prizes. EWC Turkey received more than 150 applications this year and hosted an exciting national final with 8 entrepreneurs.

The Entrepreneurship World Cup Turkey, which GEN Turkey and Habitat Association were the national organizers, concluded with an event where innovative ideas and sustainable solutions were showcased. Entrepreneurs from all over Turkey competed for the chance to represent our country in the global final and to win a total of 300.000 TL cash prize and various in-kind prizes in the National Final.

Winners and Prizes

The ‘’Laska’’ team, which won first place, stands out with their environmentally friendly and sustainable production approach. With the high technology they have developed, they recycle waste tires into the economy and produce alternative products to fossil fuels such as carbon black and renewable fuel. Laska's solution contributes to 9 of the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals. In addition to the TL 300,000 cash prize, the Laska team won the right to participate in the Global Final in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and received a free Kolektif House membership for a year.

Runner-up ‘’Move On’’ develops AI-based technologies for more sustainable and traceable agriculture with a team of farmers and engineers. The Move On team received a free one-year membership to Kolektif House and a place in the EWC 250
