Enterprise in a Box - Conisborough College for Business & Enterprise

Enterprise-in-a-Box is an all-inclusive social enterprise start up toolkit for young people. The challenge provides them with the tools to take their first steps as social entrepreneurs, and the opportunity to make a profit as well as make a difference to the world around them.

The challenge takes them through the stages of planning an enterprise - including market research, target audience, advertising and pricing. The practical experience of actually running their social enterprise provides them with skills such as planning ahead, customer service and presentation, team working, cash flow monitoring and evaluating their experiences

Enterprise in a box is suited to a minimum of 8 young people, and a recommended maximum of 20, who are then put into teams of 4-5.  It can be delivered to those aged 11-24 from schools, youth centres or NEET youth groups. It consists of 1 x 2 hour session which is delivered by a MyBnk trainer.

Throughout the session, participants will be introduced to the concept of social enterprise, identify the skills needed to be a successful social entrepreneur and engage with their toolkit resources. They will work in groups to plan their Enterprise-in-a-Box challenge and prepare to start selling over the coming weeks.
