Entrepreneurship: Manufacturing and the 4th industrial revolution

The face of manufacturing is on the move and it is a revolution that is happening at a rapid pace. Industry 4.0, and all its components are driving this change forward. Smart Factory Expo, a feasturec event of GEW2017 brings together all those involved in manufacturing to discuss how they can future-proof their operations in order to ensure they don’t stay stuck in the past.

GEW is delighted to partner with The Manufacturer during the huge Smart Factory Expo -The UK’s biggest showcase for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR) – returns on the 15-16 November at the superb Exhibition Centre Liverpool as a featured Global Entrepreneurship Week Compass point event.

Attendance to the expo is free and will give you access to a variety of ways to help you learn, network and do business with over 4,000 fellow manufacturers from companies including Sony UKRolls RoyceSiemensDell EMCBAE Systems and GlaxoSmithKline as well as innovative SMEs and manufacturing start-ups at the UK’s largest digital manufacturing show.

Now in its fourth year, 2017 saw more than 250 individuals nominated by readers of The Manufacturer, the wider industrial community and the public. All of whom have stood out for their contributions in changing the face of industry; finding new markets; making a marked investment in people, processes and customers or for making an impact disproportionate to their years.

 The report is launched at a drinks reception in Liverpool on 15 November to form The Manufacturer Top 100 2017 cohort, with 20 of them profiled in depth to underline their outstanding contribution to the sector.

Stay tuned during GEW to see who has been selected for 2017, network with individuals representing the previous three years and perhaps be inspired to nominate for 2018.
